How to find Braes Retreat:
Located in Peinchorran at the end of the Braes road (B883), 8 miles south of Portree, which is the capital of the Isle of Skye, Braes Retreat can be easily found.
We strongly recommend guests have their own transport whilst staying at Braes Retreat. Therefore the following are directions for arrival by car:
On arrival on the Isle of Skye head for Portree on the A87.
Approximately 2 miles before you reach Portree, take the right-hand turning sign-posted "The Braes" Please note this turning is on quite a sharp left-hand bend in the main road.
After half a mile turn right at the T-junction and then travel down this single track road for approximately 4½ miles.
Turn left at the road signposted “Gedintailor, Balmeanach and Peinchorran” and continue along this road, entering Peinchorran after 1 mile.
Continue along the road. It bends sharply to the right and then the signpost and entrance to Glamaig Cottage (Braes Retreat) can be found just on the left at the T junction.
